Puerto Princesa: Go barefoot in Kalui Restaurant

We spent our first dinner in Puerto Princesa, Palawan at Kalui Restaurant. Thanks again to Tita Ched, owner of Mercedes Bed & Breakfast where we stayed for the reservation she made for us. She surprised us after we got back from our city tour. Guess she knew we have nothing to do that night since our Iwahig Firefly Watching Tour got cancelled. 

Kalui is a garden-themed restaurant and is considered one of the famous restaurants in Puerto Princesa that no tourist should miss.

We’ve noticed that most of the restaurants in Puerto Princesa are garden-themed but we think what makes Kalui different from others is that you have to go barefoot inside the restaurant. 

Kalui not just offer good ambiance but delicious and affordable food too!

We ordered Kalui Special of the Day Set, Sour Sop (Guyabano) Shake and Calamansi-Ginger Combo. Out of the ordinary choices for our drinks haha! after a few minutes the waiter served us with complimentary seaweeds with calamansi. my hubby was surprised coz its one of his favorites and he got it for free haha!

After eating, surprised again, the waiter served us with complimentary mixed fruits for dessert! c'mon! we freakin' love this restaurant already haha!

Another good point is that their service is really fast! Like fast-food-jollibee fast! They have well trained and courteous crew! good job!

No wonder why you need a reservation to get a table in Kalui Restaurant! Two thumbs up! Definitely a must-visit restaurant! highly recommended!

REMEMBER: Be there on time. They give 15 minutes waiting time. If you fail to arrive at the given reserved time they will open your slot to the next walk-in customer. Believe me, it happened to us. We we're late for 15 minutes hehe!
